Another week gone by!

Hello to everyone! Another busy week has gone by already....to start there are just a few ort of random pictures I've taken. Then, onto to the major events since the last update.

Believe it or not, the left picture is ALL jelly fish when I looked over a bridge.

A really cool glass harmonica player by Paul Revere's house

Seagulls swarming by the bridge, then enjoying the frog pond to cool off a bit!

A week or so ago some of us went to the Aquarium to see the penguins. I admit I was personally a bit disappointed by the size of the aquarium. I kept thinking the first part was walked in was just the beginning exhibit, but that was the entire thing really. The penguins were neat to watch though!

Lots of weird looking jellyfish!

The guy on the left was the Ugly Penuin or something...he was different looking, the center penguin just enjoying the spray shower and then a group of the just hanging out on the right.

There were lots of pretty colors in the tanks!

Tuesday afternoon a couple students went to the John F. Kennedy Museum with me. The place was amazing and beautiful! It was apparently made to look similar to the Martha' Vineyard area the he loved so much.

You really have to look...Megan is going to walk right through the door!

Beth and Megan found their inner child and were just having fun!

A group self-portrait

The Kennedy Family...

Inside part of the Museum looking out over the water....then me in front of the museum

JFK's sailboat...look through the haze and you can see Boston
A couple different displays...

One day last week I ventured to Western Mass on a road trip during the day. I just wanted to share a few photos of the view from Mount Sugarloaf in Deerfield. It was gorgeous.

Last weekend was the big weekend of the summer was here, that is...our last full weekend in Boston. If you don't already know, this weekend we will be in Philadelphia for the NSCS Convention. In fact, we are leaving in about 7 hours (I should probably be in bed, but I wanted to update before the weekend since I probably won't have internet access much throughout the weekend to do it.) It should be a good trip. We are taking the train there and back. I've packed everyone some awesome snack bags for the 6 hour train ride. While in Philly we will also have lunch with all of the interns who are in the Washington, D.C. internship program.

Back to the last week though......Last Friday evening the majority of us went on a Haunted Boston Ghost Tour...coincidently on Friday the 13th! Then on Saturday morning another group of us volunteered at a homeless shelter where we peeled, diced, and chopped our lives away. I personally was responsible for cutting up an entire box of 4 dozen bunches of green onions- and they WERE RIPE! The smell really got to me by the end and I was in tears, literally from the smell. Krysta and Stevie had the pleasure of dicing 40 -50 pounds of carrots up all morning! We also made sandwiches, and prepared various other foods throughout the morning. Then, a group of us met down on Newbury Street for lunch at "Stephanie's on Newbury". I wanted to eat there before I left and I finally did! The place was very nice and the food was good, but it was pretty expensive. Below is a photo of Stevie (Stephanie for real) and I (Stephanie too!) in front of the place.

That evening some of us went to the Mystery Theater Cafe in the North End. A good Italian dinner is included while trying to solve the murder mystery throughout the event. It was different than expected, but still a good time.

Go Lizzy!!......Erine and Stevie getting appetizers (Circus Peanuts)

All of us at the Mystery Theater

Throughout the weekend many people made it up to Revere Beach to see the spectacular sand sculptures that had been built. The pictures don't do them justice!

The 1st place winner

The last couple weeks during the week have been pretty quiet with smaller groups of people going out on their own to do the little things they have been meaning to do all summer, but haven't gotten around to. I know everyone is realizing the summer in Boston is QUICKLY coming to an end next week already! I still can't believe it myself.

Next week most people have three days of their internship left, then have Thursday and Friday to pack and finish sight seeing. Thursday night I have an end of the summer event planned...a big Mystery Event that I am being tight lipped about to anyone except those who must know the details! I really do hope that everyone enjoys the evening planned though.

Well, it's off to bed for a few hours before heading to Philly! I'm not sure if I'll get a ton of pictures of people in Philly since there will be so many other people there and not just us hanging out together, but I'll do my best to get some photos to post!

Until next time,

Stephanie
